Greetings;
I'm Mark Finley, Vice President of the Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce and the Lawndale Chamber of Commerce. I'm a Graphic Designer and Marketing Director for Tinman Associates Media Arts Agency, and the Founder/Grill master of Back In The Days BBQ located in Chicago, Illinois.
I became a Baseball fan in my early childhood years while watching the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox. When my mother took me to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, my fascination with Major League Ball Parks began. I found it very intriguing on how all the parks had their own unique design and features. During this time period, I was also a developing artist as I drew some of Major Leagues most infamous ballparks like Wrigley Field, Pittsburgh Pirates Three Rivers Stadium, Ebetts Field, The Old Comiskey Park and more.
As I grew older, I purchased a model of Wrigley Field that was made of clay. The model was pretty small and could literally fit in the palm of my hand which was not a bad size, but it and other models of major league parks lacked the detail that captured the true ambiance of those parks. Eventually, by accident, the Scoreboard broke off of my Model Wrigley Field and I was quite disappointed.
Over the next 20 Years, I began to expand my crafting skills by creating fine hand-crafted jewelry and selling other hand crafted Items by merchants through my business "Marks Crafts".
I began constructing Finley Field in 2005. I came up with the idea to create Finley Field because I saw no decent size scale model Ball Parks Built at that time with extensive details and features made of an unbreakable material which the small models are made of.
I wanted Finley Field to be virtually unbreakable (not made with clay or a ceramic) using FOAM RUBBER as Finley Field's infrastructure so that it would not break if mishandled or dropped. My park would have much detail in every aspect like the real ballparks including Sponsors, Advertisements, and Special Features.
I also decided to design Finley Field with the quaint and famous features of the old-school parks (like Wrigley Field, Bostons Fenway Park, and the old Comiskey Park) and combine them with the new state of the art features and amenities similar to the Newer Parks (like the New Comiskey Park (now called Guaranteed Rate Field) the new Busch Stadium, PNC Park, and Baltimore's Camden Yards.
There are some features that you will find when you explore FINLEY FIELD that makes this a totally uniquely designed Ballpark. MY OWN.
FINLEY FIELD has been on display at Back In The Days BBQ / Rib Sales & Events since 2006, Tinman Associates Media Arts Agency and at The Rogers Park Chamber of Commerce.
I invite you to take this personal tour of FINLEY FIELD and perhaps experience it in person.
My dream is to have this Scale Model Ball Park with its unique design and features come to life and become a reality Ball Park in the Future.
FINLEY FILED IS MY GIFT TO MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL.
COME ONE - COME ALL!
FINLEY FILED IS THE NEW CROWN JEWEL OF BASEBALL!

Mark Finley.
